Oppenheimer – 7,100 (Most Bullish)
John Stoltzfus cites strong economic fundamentals, robust consumer spending, and AI advancement. “The current bull market likely has legs strong enough to climb the proverbial ‘wall of worry’ into and through 2025,” noting that market breadth continues to broaden across sectors.
Wells Fargo – 7,007
Christopher Harvey projects this target based on “upward GDP revisions and the regulatory environment will catalyze cyclical opportunities.” He expects the Trump administration to create “an increasingly favorable macro environment for the stock market”.
Deutsche Bank – 7,000
Jim Reid bases this forecast on “a solid demand-supply backdrop for U.S. equities,” expecting S&P 500 buybacks to increase from $1.1 trillion to $1.3 trillion annually. The bank sees demand-supply dynamics remaining strong even with conservative assumptions.
Yardeni Research – 7,000
Eric Wallerstein emphasizes “very strong productivity growth” as a key driver, with continued growth benefiting both the economy and S&P revenues. He notes only a 15-20% probability of their main risk scenario – a global trade war.
DataTrek Research – 6,840
Projects solid growth while maintaining a more moderate stance than the most bullish forecasts.
RBC Capital Markets – 6,700
Lori Calvasina’s team predicts “another year of solid economic and earnings growth, some political tailwinds, and some additional relief on inflation” will keep stocks moving higher.
Bank of America – 6,666
Expects robust earnings growth and potential policy changes to benefit U.S. equities.
Goldman Sachs – 6,500

Morgan Stanley – 6,500
Michael J. Wilson notes the importance of “staying agile amidst shifts in market leadership,” particularly given election-related uncertainties.
Citi – 6,500
Scott Chronert maintains “a positive stance on S&P 500 fundamentals, given the persistent resilience in earnings and the flexibility afforded by robust free cash flow generation”.
JPMorgan – 6,500

UBS – 6,400
Most conservative among major banks, projecting a 5.7% gain while maintaining a cautious outlook.
Stifel – 5,500
Barry Bannister warns of a potential 10-15% correction due to “slower economic growth and sticky inflation”.
